New York City, New York

New York City is a winter wonderland in December, the lights and decorations so breathtaking, you almost forget how cold it is (almost). Despite the brief reputation, New Yorkers are actually quite friendly to tourists.

There are plenty of hotel deals in the city center, right next to the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. We found deals for hotels between now and Christmas as low as $150 per night. Obviously the prices skyrocket if you want to ring in the new year in NYC!

Sedona, Azu

Don’t find the New York City chills tempting? The Sonoran Desert in the southwestern United States is often referred to as the “world’s most beautiful desert”. The bi-annual rainfall pattern gives this natural landscape the greatest diversity of animal species of any desert on the planet. Sonoran Desert locals won’t hesitate to tell you that the city of Sedona is one of the area’s greatest treasures.

Sedona has a nice pleasant moderate temperature for the season, with average winter temperatures in the mid to high 60s. It’s not rare to see outdoor mountain bikers and hikers in short sleeves and T-shirts year-round. Marvel at the natural beauty during the most tourist friendly time of year, with hotel resort prices as low as $120 per night.

Make sure you are in the US Bring a good camera to capture the most beautiful sunsets you can see anywhere in the world!

Whistler, British Columbia

What better place to ski! Right in the middle of Coast Mountain and just two hours north of Vancouver. Whistler is a great place to spend a Canadian White Christmas with a ton of free special events to get into the spirit of the season. Whistler Olympic Plaza becomes a family entertainment area with ice skating, crafts and entertainment. We found hotels for as low as $114 per night and many money-saving ski packages.

Quebec City, Quebec

Quebec City has often been described as “the most elaborate Christmas village ever.” Visitors will know immediately why when they experience the old French cobblestone streets with streets decorated with Christmas trees, wreaths and lights. The city’s design itself looks straight out of a holiday snow globe.

Make sure you pack for the cold though. Average winter highs in Quebec can struggle to go above 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures that ease some winter travelers, and that open the doors to some of the best winter hotel deals you’ll find anywhere. Some of the best hotels in the city cost as little as $100 per night!

The main attraction here, apart from the city itself, is the Quebec Winter Carnival, one of the largest in the world. You should check if you have enough layers of clothing to withstand the severe cold.

Miami, Florida

Let’s warm up a bit, the thought of Quebec makes me shudder… Miami, Florida is the last stop on our list of destinations, but certainly not the least.

Located slightly north of Florida’s southernmost tip, Miami winter temperatures are in the high 70s. It’s a great place to hang out in a bathing suit and swim in the Atlantic, while much of the country is engulfed by fire in the cold.

This nice city with weather is no stranger to tourism, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find much. Some beachside hotel resorts offer rooms for as low as $180 per night. What a convenient way to spend your winter vacation.
